Refund policy

1. General Policy

All our pieces are hand‑printed and crafted with care. Natural variations in color, pattern, or texture are part of the artisan process and are not considered defects. We encourage customers to review product details and care instructions before placing an order.

2. Care Disclaimer

All pieces by Samar Sheikh Handprints are crafted using traditional hand‑printing techniques. Slight variations in color, texture, or print alignment are natural and part of the handmade process.

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your piece, we recommend: Dry Clean

Color may naturally soften over time with use. Damage caused by improper washing, harsh detergents, soaking, or machine washing is not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

3. Eligibility for Returns or Exchanges

We accept returns or exchanges only in the following cases:

  • You received the wrong item
  • You received a damaged item
  • You received a defective item (not related to natural handmade variations)

Requests must be made within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photos of:

  • The product
  • The packaging
  • The shipping label

4. Non‑Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Items purchased on sale, during promotions, or at exhibitions
  • Products damaged due to misuse, washing, or improper care
  • Items with natural handmade variations

5. Refunds

If your return request is approved, you may choose between:

  • A replacement (if available)
  • An exchange
  • A store credit

Cash refunds are not offered, except in cases where the item is unavailable for replacement.

6. Return Shipping

If a return is approved:

  • For incorrect, damaged, or defective items: return shipping is covered by us
  • For all other approved cases: return shipping is the customer’s responsibility

Items must be returned unused, unwashed, and in original packaging.

7. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placing the order. Once processing begins, cancellations are not possible.

8. Studio Pickup Disclaimer

Studio pickup is offered as a convenience for customers who prefer to collect their orders directly. Once an order is marked as picked up, responsibility for the item transfers to the customer.

Please ensure:

  • You inspect the item at pickup if you wish
  • You collect the order within the communicated time window
  • You bring your order confirmation or ID for verification

Samar Sheikh Handprints is not liable for loss, damage, or mishandling after the order has been collected from the studio. If someone is collecting on your behalf, please inform us in advance. Studio pickup orders are not eligible for return or exchange unless the item was incorrect or defective at the time of pickup.

9. International Orders

All international orders are final sale. No returns, exchanges, or refunds are offered due to customs processes, shipping distances, and carrier limitations.
